I: Its a very well established university (he nodded and looked impressed). It was established in the mid 1800s and my department itself, the department of electrical engineering is over a 100 years old, so these people really know what they're doing( laughed a lil). But what really struck me was that they rank second in research funding and that what Im looking for...I really...(cuts me off)
VO: What kind of research are you interested in.
I: Communications is what I'm interested in, whether I'll work in optics or microwaves, I'll decide depending on what comes my way once I get there...the field is so vast...(listening intently, but cuts me off again)
VO: Which professor's research interests you?
I: Well, there Prof XXX and I had one of his text books during my third semester. He's into digital signal processing and thats something I'm very interested in. Theres also Prof YYY and he's working on optic fiber communications. Ive been doing my final year project in this field (here he looked up at me and nodded as if saying oh??) and my guide provided me with resources which included his papers. So that was really interesting. (The whole time he was listening and typing on his comp...I think he may be verifying what I was saying with the website...I dont know but thats what it looked like)
VO: Whos sponsoring you?
I:My father is
VO: What does he do?
I: He's working in X and my mother is working as Y.
VO: How much does your father earn?
I: He earns XX lakhs and my mother makes YY lakhs.

I: I have a younger brother
